      Do not know if this is tip or not. I could not get sound to work using alsa with waterfox at all with youtube and the like. ncmpcpp played music just fine.
      With alsa and antiX 17 liblib2.0-dev was already install but libasound2-dev was not after installing and rebooting libasound2-dev youtube sound Works just fine now..

      You need ALSA libraries and GLib installed. On Debian-based distributions, they are in packages libasound2-dev and libglib2.0-dev.

        Unless your compiling from source the -dev file shouldn’t be needed. If you had sound through one application then the system is working. My “guess” is a mixer adjustment or youtube was muted?
