Last days I did a fresh installation of antiX-17-base (32-bit) to the compaq celeron laptop. When I tried a dist-upgrade, some of this type errors appeared for me, too:

      E: Failed to fetch http:// ... [weak]

and at the end the message:

E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-

My wifi connection was very weak and the progress was corrupted several times. Many times I got such error messages, the downloading speed was 0 and nor the start page of the browser could be loaded. I ran the dist-upgrade command several times, and I noticed that every time the progress was immediately at the percentage it was stopped the previous time. After several times of running the dist-upgrade command, the progress came to 100% and was completed without error messages at the end. I don’t know if this means that this was a successful upgrade, but I thought that I had to post about it, if anyone could be helped from this.

you mentioned weak wifi and, yes, “E: Unable to fetch some archives” indicates a network connection error occurred
(or timeout while awaiting repository server response)

the progress came to 100% and was completed without error messages at the end.

From that description, it seems the operation was fully successful. To remove any doubt, you can perform the dist-upgrade again ~~ rechecking will cause no harm.

          It’s OK.

Edit: I would mark the topic as “solved”, but I can’t.
