      Hi!

I recently installed antiX-21 on my little Samsung N150 notebook. One program that’s acting up is Focuswriter. It was working just fine until I set it to play the typewrite sounds. When it loads now, it just hangs, with a “loading sounds” message, but doesn’t actually run. I did try a complete uninstall via Synaptic, and thought I deleted all its config files before reinstalling, but apparently, it’s still trying to load sounds and not loading. Any suggestions?

Nothing urgent; it’s just that I do like using Focuswriter sometimes.

      Thanks in advance.

See if libsdl-mixer1.2 needs to be installed on your system. Once that is installed, it should work.

          Hi christophe:

I gave that a go, and reinstalled Focuswriter via Synaptic, but no go.

          Oh well, nothing urgent, really.

Is there any kind of known hardware issues you know of with Focuswriter? (if not, don’t worry about it).

Thanks for taking the time to reply!
