      Hello all

Been loving antix. Outstanding Linux disto for older pc. I figured out how to mount my external luks encrypted drive manually with below commands
      udisksctl unlock -b /dev/sdb1

      Then it says

      Unlocked /dev/sdb1 as /dev/dm-3

      Then I type

      udisksctl mount -b /dev/dm-3

It mounts fine in media. But how do I automate this to mount at boot with antix automatically or maybe for more security just entering the password once at boot until next boot. Thank you so much.

      Todd

I don’t know anything about encrypted drives and the permissions needed to mount them, but couldn’t you create a bash script with these commands? Then you could link a .desktop launcher to this script and place it on your desktop, and then, whenever you want to mount the encrypted drive, simply click on the launcher and it would do all this for you.

Maybe it could even be launched from startup and ask for your password.

I can’t test it myself, but isn’t this feasible (at least the first part)?
