Dear Antix Friends,
I run Antix 17 on my laptop using FluxBox and I love it.
I installed Plank and Redshift and wonder how I get them to auto start at boot.
Thanks a lot for all willing to help
Dirk
Update: I added plank to the startup at the /control center/session.DesktopSession
but for WiCD it wants to have the root password and RedShift is a no show 🙁

::The question with wicd was asked quite often.
Maybe should be mentioned in the FAQ under internet.
You have to enable the wicd daemon.Look here

::Thanks, you helped again and made it again in my youtube video ;-))
However, it doesn’t work for RedShift, do you know how to get RedShift to auto start?
Thanks
Dirk

::Redshift is not installed on my system and you did not give much information what you tried until now, so i can only guess.
If redshift works for you by typing in terminal redshift
Then addingredshift &
to the startup file you mentioned above should do the trick
Maybe if you use geoclue for redshift, then it needs a internet-connection to start and if your internet starts somehow slow
you could try to make redshift start a little later by adding this to the startup filesh -c “sleep 60; redshift”
The 60 means 60 seconds, you can change it to your needs.
Cool you still have fun with antix !- This reply was modified 5 years ago by caprea.
