My fresh installation of AntiX 19.4 full on a 32GB flash drive automatically boots onto a Space-icewm desktop. I cannot disable this feature in the gui Control Centre. I see this feature in the Command Line Control Centre where any alteration attempts have failed because of my ineptitude! “Centre” is how it’s spelled in my menu. I wonder if input the U.K. language version!

Don’t worry. It is the official name, so that is how you will see it on any English based language.

Control Centre (gui) > Session > Set Auto-login, enter password and leave the user empty. That is all. Not very intuitive but works.

General Live Boot Parameters for antiX.

The solution works but removes Personal Menu selections and desktop wallpaper selected by the user. Ten minutes of work is worth the security!

removes Personal Menu selections and desktop wallpaper

The controlCentre clicky item runs /usr/local/bin/slim-login
and alters nothing other than the content of /etc/slim.conf.

            ls /home
You will probably discover it contains two subdirectories, e.g.
            /home/demo and /home/smitty

During the autologin sessions, you were probably logged in as “demo” when you changed Personal menu + wallpaper. Now, when logging in as “smitty”, yeah it’s a clean slate. To confirm this is “what happened”, you can logout and manually log in as “demo” to check.
