antiX 19.3/19.4 32-bit and 64-bit (both base)
Hi everybody,
I’m very glad with all my previous antiX installs. Thank you.
However, here is a new question:
I tried and failed to get the “auto-scroll function” (scroll by holding the middle mouse button down while moving the mouse up and down) working with my old 3-button mouse missing a scroll wheel. I tried some tricks from the web but they failed.
Is there even an emulation solution for 2-button mice?kawe

::Hi kawe,
this is an interesting question. I also have a three button serial mouse without wheel here in usage, it is a logi mouse also. I’ve never thought about emulating this wheel, but your idea sounds great to me. Maybe we’ll get some answers. But I’ll also research and try now for this also myself.At least for a two button mouse it should work once there is blazed a trail for a three button mouse: The two button mice usually emulate the third button by pressing both buttons at the same time, if I recollect correctly. So this might work also once a solution for the wheel emulation was found on a three button mouse.
Windows is like a submarine. Open a window and serious problems will start.

::Hi kawe,
what have you done up to now ?, tried some tricks from the web tells potential helpers nothing useful..Did you read the manual for whichever desktop you are using ?. Try the settings suggested, do some applications work
with middle button others not, expected but again no info at all.Nobody here is as abrupt and forthright as for example in Arch Forum but there are times I really feel the same way
as some posters there.- This reply was modified 1 year, 3 months ago by ModdIt.
