I grabbed tuxguitar 1.2 from Synaptic and installed it with all it’s deps but can’t seem to get gervil to make sound, or get an error message stating no midi is available.
I tried installing tuxguitar-jsa, tuxguitar-oss, tuxguitar-alsa and tuxguitar fluidsynth but still no go. I installed solfege with Timidity and the freepats pkgs and get the midi to work in that program.
My question is: Is there a way to get tuxguitar to work without installing pulseaudio? If I do, it does work. Would like to not have to install it if I don’t have to.
Thoughts.
