      Hi,
I’m very new to Linux environment and after testing several Linux distros for my old computer I decided to go ahead with AntiX 17 32-bit.
Currently I’m having a difficulty to solve the following two outstanding issues:
      1) Sound Volume: I cannot adjust the sound volume. Volume somehow is set to max and I’m unable to mute or lower volume using volume keys on the keyboard. How do I fix this so I could adjust volume using volume/mute keys on the keyboard?
      2) Keyboard Layout: By default, keyboard is set to US keymap. I’d like to add a second keyboard layout for Turkish (TR). How do I add a second keyboard layout which I could toggle between them? e.g. US + TR

      Specs:
      HP Compaq nx7010 Notebook PC
Intel Centrino 1.6 GHz (Pentium M 725 Processor)
      2MB DDR SDRAM (333 MHz / PC2700)
      40GB Disk
      WXGA 24-bit (16.7 million colors)
ATI Mobility Radeon 9200 – 64 MB DDR SDRAM

Your help would be really appreciated. Thank you.

For the volume keys, try right clicking on the volumeicon in the system tray and selecting preferences-> hotkeys and selecting the hotkeys you want. (1.jpg)

For the keyboard, you can add a variant with the system keymap app in antix control center (3.jpg)

a toggle app should appear on next login in the system tray that allows you to switch keyboards by clicking. If it doesn’t appear (little flag), then edit your user session and make sure the item in 2.jpg is present and not commented out.
