      Hello, forum members! 🙂

I have a question, I’m new on linux, but trying to learn it. I downloaded AntiX core 17(Not base or Full) and I can’t set screen resolution more than 1024×768. I already tried to install Intel graphics drivers, but still nothing. I’m thinking it’s because I’m trying to install them on my VirtualBox. Is it VirtualBox issue? Who know anything about it?

P.S. Tried to find same questions on the forum and used google, still nothing, that’s why I’m writing here.

      With regards,
      Challene.

I used the xrandr line command to change the screen resolution while running under VirtualBox.

This lists possible screen resolutions —

        > xrandr

I used this to change from 800×600 to 1024×768 —

        > xrandr -x 1024×768

I have not yet found a way to make this change permanent across sessions (I tried .xprofile change but that didnt work).

        Hope this helps.

Yes virtualbox will need a different driver to make the resolution higher. It has been a while since I have run virtualbox and needed a higher resolution than 1024×768 but if I remember right you will need to install virtualbox guest additions.
