      Good day for all.

I have fresh install of antiX 19.4 x64 on Core2Duo PC w. 4 Gb interleaved RAM, 500 Gb HDD (with no swap partition), dual boot w. Windows under GRUB.
But I can’t see same DE behavior as live system. When login I select “Rox-IceWM” by F1 but DE have absolutely other look. F.e. – not worked graphic menu (all? second levels collapsed), text conky, powering off works only by “sudo halt” in terminal and so on.
      What’s going wrong?
I try find some look like post, but find only https://www.antixforum.com/forums/topic/failed-to-execute-login-command-3/#post-60056. I check appropriate /usr/share/xsessions and this is not my case.

      Thanks a lot.

Do you have a separate /home partition that was there before you installed? Or are you logging in as ROOT? (antiX is meant to work properly (or as expected) only for normal user, not root).
If you already had a /home partition you didn’t want to be overwritten, run in terminal (with normal user)

        cp /etc/skel/.icewm $HOME/
        cp /etc/skel/.desktop-session/ $HOME/

Which will bring the basic icewm and desktop-session configuration. Then use slim again to log-in to see if the changes are back to normal.

          Good day.

          That’s it! Not “fresh instal” – I preserve /home.
I reinstall and copy old /home to new – all work.

Dont forget “apt-get update && upgrade” for access for disired packets.

          Thanks, @Xecure
