      UPDATE: I deleted the 300ish gb files using 96+% of my SSD in /var/lib/docker/overlay2 & it solved the issue.

      NOTE: You need to use sudo zzzfm (or whatever your file manager is) to see the actual size of folders.

      ================

      So I had Antix 21 (non SID) installed & updated last night (so maybe it is technically 22).

      Anyways, at the end of the day I started to get weird errors where I couldn’t save screenshots (didn’t install any other software). An error would pop-up, right after selecting the save path and saving that said the save failed.

      No image could be found (this is to another external drive that has plenty of space on it).

      So I Rebooted from the menu, now I can’t get passed the login screen.

      If I enter the correct login and pw it just flickers once, then flickers back & the pw & login are blank again.

      If I enter the incorrect password it tells me authentication failed & doesn’t flicker (working normally).

      The installation SSD is only a few months old & has barely anything on the 300gb size drive.

      ================

      Any ideas?

      Think I’m just going to have to reformat the drive & reinstall Antix 21.

      I wasn’t doing anything other than vanilla JS programming & tried to load some previously installed docker images that failed.

      ================

      The only thing I can think of is somehow docker & the images screwed up my installation (although they worked fine for at least 3 months previously).

      Either that or the drive is somehow going bad.

      ================

      NOTE: I checked the drive in gparted on antix 21 thumbdrive & it says it is 96% full using almost 300gb formatted. Yet when I check the actual drive home file is the largest at 16gb & usr is the 2nd largest at 8gb.

      All the other folders don’t have much in them.

      So how is 50gb somehow equating to like 300gb?

      Maybe there isn’t enough drive space available to run the device due to some sort of error, screwed-up config (possible invisible file)?

      =================

      UPDATE: after sudo zzzfm I can see the problem appears to be /var/lib/docker/overlay2 folder which somehow has like 300gb of files (it wouldn’t show this previously).

      When I previously tried to check the /var folder size multiple times in zzzfm (including on thumbdrive boot) it would only say 3.4gb used.

      I’m going to assume my problem is this one here on stackoverflow & just delete unless someone has a better idea: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/30604846/docker-error-no-space-left-on-device
