Hi,
I just installed Spotify and I can’t login in it because the same thing as for my Nextcloud problem https://www.antixforum.com/forums/topic/file-doesnt-exist/ is happening:
When I click on the Spotify login button it is supposed to open a new tab in my web browser where I should loggin to Spotify then redirects me to the application.
Instead, it opens a small window (please, see below screenshot):

In Nextcloud I could circumvent the problem as there was an option to copy manually the loggin link, but in Spotify there isn’t such an option.
What could I do?
Thank you.

::Assuming you have activated DRM in LibreWolf or other browser of choice
https://accounts.spotify.com/en/login?nosignup=true
Is probably what you need

::Thank you! However it still doesn’t work. I can be logged in Spotify in Firefox, but I am still logged out in the Spotify app. On my Manjaro set up, when I try to login in the Spotify app, it opens a page in Firefox, I then login there and it switches back to the Spotify app where I become logged in.
In Antix, instead of going to Firefox to loggin, it opens this small window I am talking about in my first post. So I am stuck š

::Hi, two tips you can try:
1) Create the missing directory (‘mkdir -p <directory>’) if not already solved in the other thread
https://www.antixforum.com/forums/topic/file-doesnt-exist/
2) antiX comes with a built-in advert blocker (Applications -> System -> [antiX] Control Centre -> Network -> Adblock) modifying ‘/etc/hosts’ file.
It blocks connections to some domains in order to reduce ads and snooping.
You may try to turn it off (and restart the possibly affected applications).May 11, 2023 at 7:17 am #106483Member

::This is strange. I also use the Spotify app and have no problem signing in. But I’m on antiX 19.5. There is no trash directory.
There are other ways to use spotify on linux. Spotifyd + spotify TUI. Or ncspot. Uses about 1/10th of the memory of the bloated electron spotify app.

Thanks. How do you install ncspot? I can’t find it in the repository.
