::First step please do apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade
After you have confirmed that step we can move on to further
troubleshooting.December 12, 2020 at 12:15 pm #47182MemberLurklessness

::Hi.
You say:I have only default apps.
Does this mean you never installed any new apps or does it mean your other apps are no longer there?
I see a LOT of dev packages, so you must have been building (as in make install) apps on your system. Did any of them install/require systemd?Also, check the packages that are being removed. One of them is repo-list (which is from the antiX repo).
Did you disable any important repos while testing?
Give us
inxi -r
and
apt --installed list | grep systemdI am on an antiX testing machine upgraded from buster and all works well.
You are probably missing the package desktop-session-antix that manages the application menu generation script.antiX Live system enthusiast.

::If you are in the testing branch the menu building script should have upgraded to the python3 version and not require those packages.

::menu-icewm-antix is not on the iso. Why did you install it?

::I may be talking out of turn, I am not an expert in the underlying packaging system. I can only tell you that I have had success running the “sudo apt autoremove” command and then again running “sudo apt update”, then “sudo apt dist-upgrade”. I do this on my “testing” version of antiX 19 and have had no problems.
You said you only have standard packages. I also only run packages from the antiX-approved repos. I have not used any repos outside of that system.
But maybe there is better advice. I am only sharing what I have done and my results. I did have some abnormalities on the menus for awhile. Double-entries. But it fixed itself through the regular updates/dist-upgrade commands as entered above.
