Attempting to upgrade fluidsynth to latest vsn is broken & has been for quite some time now, see below (and yes I need the -dev part!):

      apt-get install libfluidsynth-dev:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
      libelogind0 : Conflicts: libsystemd0
E: Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.

      Please help or fix. Thanks!

      Jim

Hi, I run with testing repositories (system based on antiX-21) and I get a similar problem.
Could you please post your repositories (output of ‘inxi -r’)?
The ‘libfluidsynth-dev’ in bullseye (current stable) does not seem to be plagued by systemd-dependencies, see https://packages.debian.org/bullseye/libfluidsynth-dev .

My attempt to install in antiX-testing (‘libfluidsynth3’ is already installed on my system):
        sudo apt install libfluidsynth-dev
The output describing the issue ends with:
“The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libfluidsynth-dev : Depends: libsystemd-dev but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.”

nosystemd fixes to hit repos shortly.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

**BUMP!** re “fixes to hit repos shortly”: This has still NOT been fixed (thru latest bookworm/testing v2.2.7-1)!

Oh yes it has. This is a frugal testing install (32bit)

requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable

If you are using testing, then make sure you have all testing repos enabled.
I see you do not have the antiX testing repo enabled at all.
You do not need bullseye repos.
Why do you have the buster repos enabled?

Ok, that FIXED the issue w/fluidsynth (THANKS, Anti)! I think I’ve got this correct now?!: However, several of your other *0nosystemd1 packages (ie. links2, cups, etc.) are not upgradable due to the common pbm. of libssl3 (>= 3.0.0) is not (yet?) present!
