It wasn’t easy to find, so I’ll post it here. (Based on info from here.)
Add to ~/.gtkrc-2.0.minestyle "my-tray" { bg[NORMAL] = "#e0e4ee" } widget_class "*Tray*" style "my-tray"- This topic was modified 2 years, 4 months ago by Qwerty.

::Can you enlighten users on what that does in more detail and why it could be useful compared to the default settings? Thanks.

::Hi.
Thanks for the contribution. If I am not mistaken,only icewm has this background problem for the fbxkb flag in the system tray(It seems the flag background problem is in all window managers), so it is very useful for othericewmusers to learn how to change the flag background color.So others understand what Qwerty has done, adding the previous lines of code will make the fbxkb background color #e0e4ee (I assume for all window managers).
If you disliked the current background color, use yad-color (in menu > Applications > antiX > yad-color) to select the background color you want (for example, the panel color), copy the hex colorname and use it instead of #e0e4ee in the code posted above.antiX Live system enthusiast.

::Yes, it looks like fbxkb renders the background using GTK with its theme, so the color may not match the WM theme. In my case, here’s how it looks in IceWM with Clearview Blue before and after:

::Thanks for the great tip.

Separately, we will need to figure out where to inject the snippet for gtk3 themes

::Thanks a million, this tip is fantastic!
This glitch never caused critical problems, but it was UGLY! Really ugly! Now it looks normal!

::As I may have mentioned before, when I read (or find elsewhere) a fix for a glitch (even a cosmetic one) like this, I hope it will (already is?) included in bug fix updates. Is it in 19.3? Is it planned for later? I hope so.
Also, even if not as critical as say the Connman/Ceni thread, would you pin this one as well, especially if it is not yet included in new installs.
As always, thanks for making AntiX, and all the useful things it does!

::Thanks, but it is not really a solution since it only applies to one set of themes.
As soon as user changes to another IceWM theme, it goes back to looking strange/ugly.Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

::I suspected as much, not only after my last post, but as I hit Submit! Still, your reply proves you care and want to help, thank you!
My next idea is, can the color of the background be declared an environment (shell) variable in the text file in the original post which fixes it, and then antix can specify one color per theme? That way each theme has a programmed color for the flag. More work to package for you, but once done (and automated with scripts, etc.) it will not bother you or other users again.
Thinking out loud, I have none or few of the skills to make it happen, but think I know how to make it happen IF others help.
If that is unworkable, can the files and settings be added to an antix hosted repository/package for fbxkb, the way some Debian packages hosted upstream are repackaged and hosted by antix so they apply to antix only, but never Debian. So they are used by antix, by default, but never harm anyone else.
P.S. On a similar topic, the overaggressive “spam” filter on WordPress is driving me batty. I know you must defend against real spam, so you CAN’T remove it, but if you can make it less prone to false positives (marking real posts as spam), all the posters will thank you, or they should. I will, for certain. Thank you for trying. It marked a text file with a good .conkyrc as spam, in the subforum Tips and Tricks. Please fish it out, this once. And if you can, prevent this automatic computerized “mistake” if you can, as administrator and owner. Kalispera. I hope my Greek, while a beginner, is neither offensive nor ignorant. Feel free to correct me, in English until I learn more.
