      Hi ! Do we have a graphical applet to select/copy/paste such characters as cannot be typed
      in the current keyboard disposition easily, or at all ? Similar to the “charmap” in MS-Windows.

      Also, is there a generic way to generate such arbitrary characters (by UNICODE hex value, maybe)
      while typing in X-graphical environments ? What about in raw Linux consoles (non X-terminal) ?

        antix full has insert special characters on libre office toolbar.
        also package gucharmap is for character map.
