      Hello,

My first post here. I have been using Linux for some time but now switched over to AntiX. Amazing distro to be had. When I run the CLI Apt based Package Manager either via terminal (sudo or not) or the menu, it asks for an update. Doing so, I get a response on the lines of Missing List Files. I did my search on the forums here and on MX Linux as well but couldn’t find a suitable answer. Below is the log file (at /var/log/cli-aptiX.log)

      Found man page: cli-aptiX.1
      Checking source files ...
      Missing list file(s): security.debian.org_dists_bullseye-security_contrib_binary-amd64_Packages
      Missing list file(s): security.debian.org_dists_bullseye-security_non-free_binary-amd64_Packages

            Found list files: 16
          Missing list files: 2

It appears that at least one list file is missing

The inxi -r output is as follows:

      Repos:
        Active apt repos in: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/antix.list
1: deb http://la.mxrepo.com/antix/bullseye bullseye main nosystemd nonfree
        Active apt repos in: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/brave-browser-release.list
        1: deb [arch=amd64] https://brave-browser-apt-release.s3.brave.com/ bullseye main
        Active apt repos in: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/bullseye-backports.list
        1: deb http://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye-backports main contrib non-free
        Active apt repos in: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/debian-stable-updates.list
        1: deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ bullseye-updates main contrib non-free
        Active apt repos in: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/debian.list
        1: deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/ bullseye main contrib non-free
        2: deb http://security.debian.org/ bullseye-security main contrib non-free
No active apt repos in: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/various.list

I searched Google and came up with Debian 11 – Errata, here is states that the bullseye-security repo must be mentioned as deb http://security.debian.org/debian-security bullseye-security main contrib non-free.

My question is should I update my repo list for this? and should others do so as well?

        Hi hubbard

I never use cli aptix, have no errors updating with apt, debian sources as below

        # Debian Bullseye/Stable
deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/ bullseye main contrib non-free
        deb http://security.debian.org/ bullseye-security main contrib non-free
        #deb http://www.deb-multimedia.org bullseye main non-free

Maybe good to do sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade see if you get any errors in console.

I followed your advice and did the full upgrade, got an update on Brave and IceWM.
Running cli-aptiX in terminal still gives me Missing List File warning.
Sample of log file is as follows:

You should probably run apt-get update now

          No changes so far.

Hi, hubbard. Thanks for reporting this.

This issue was reported back in the beta releases, so anticapitalista is aware of it.

Since the apt / apt-get update from terminal does NOT have this issue, my assumption is that this bug has been given a lower priority, and will be corrected at a more opportune time.

            confirmed antiX frugaler, since 2019

Oh ok, then I guess there is no issue here. Thank you.
