::At last I have a wifi card in a PCIe spot that is recognised, however the driver is shown N/A. Can I assume that there will be a linux/debian driver for this device?

::caprea has already done all the research for you.
You might (probably) need the 5.8.16 kernel
Based on a websearch, your wireless card needs at least kernel 5.1, so installing kernel version 5.8 should be the simplest solution.
EDIT: It can be easily installed form the package installer [name: Kernel_antiX_64bit_latest_meltdown-patched Description: antiX Kernel 64 bit Meltdown, Spectre and Foreshadow patched (5.8.16)]

::I decided on a fresh start as the 19.2 I had installed was giving cause for minor concerns. I did a fresh download of 19.3 from the Coventry Warwick mirror, installed, updated the kernel to 5.8.7, installed a few necessaries, ran update and distribution upgrade, then looked at what I had after reboot.
The new device is recognised but the driver N/A, as before. I have also moved away from kernel 4.9.152 which I was using to avoid freezes. However with the new install freezing has not yet occurred.
Any further ideas will be gratefully received and acted upon. If I knew the name of the driver I would perhaps be able to find it myself. maybe it’s the same as the Win10 driver on the makers web page?
Please see new inxi -zv8

::The inxi doesn’t show the 5.8-kernel, but still 4.9.235
The Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 card needs at least 5.1-kernels, so all attempts must start from the newer kernel.
BTW your graphic-card is here installed properly. When booted into the 5.8-kernel you can post

::Now I am more confused than I was yesterday!
The full-info I ran this morning showed kernel 5.8.7 to be now installed. Yesterday I must have posted an earlier inxi and I apologise for that, I am bordering on the ‘going round in circles’ stage!
Please see the attached pdf which shows the kernel details and the now present network card driver, and the requested grep.
Ceni now recognises 2 networks, 1 at 2.4ghz and another at 5ghz, as expected from my wlan adapter. It leaves a new wlan1 file in wpa-supplicant folder. I can connect to either network, but not for long, after a few minutes the connection fails. Conky continues to report up-down activity every few minutes but I lose the connexion to the browser (chromium).
I can still connect dependably as before using a Tp-Link usb wlan adapter on wlan0.
I feel it is almost there!

::Connect to the 2.4 GHz connection, as (even if slower) has better reach, and should provide better connection stability.
Try the antix-wifi-switch script to use connman, as it has (in my opinion) a better auto-connect function (when small disconnection occur) compared to wpa_supplicant (ceni). See if you connection is more stable with it (also, disconnect the USB wifi adapter while trying out the pci one).antiX Live system enthusiast.

::I now have reasonably dependable WIFI connexion on demand, and as the new PCIe card has a duplex movable antenna connected by wires to the card I can place it to best advantage.
I have not yet tried Connman as suggested but will do so with interest when the dust has settled. Meanwhile old faithful Ceni is behaving well.
I have realised that low temperatures reduces the reach of my WIFI network in winter, and the building is solid concrete vibrated in, so any network is up against opposition most adverse in here. I think a network amplifier of some kind is called for.
Thanks to all you contributors, your help has been most valuable in finding the solutions to what were more than a simple compile driver from source. AntiX Forum is of great value and a most praiseworthy accessory to antiX itself. Best wishes to all.
