      Hello,

I installed antix 19 from the live USB on an sd card. The system is running from an sd card which has a limited amount of program erase cycles. Is there a way to change the installed version to be running from ram and hence not writing any changes to the actual disk?

Currently I made home to a tmpfs via fstab and copy the data to it on boot, this is not the best solution on top of not actually preventing write access to the root file system.
Sadly my knowledge in that regard is limited and I would be very happy, if someone can help me solving this issue.

      Best regards,
      Nicolas

I don’t think it is possible.

You could use a frugal install (with or without persistence) to that sd card and boot it with the toram option.

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.
