How come the memory usage doesnt match up between using conky $mem and ps_mem?
In my case they often differ by 60 MiB, which on a 750 MiB machine is quite a lot.
Hi, this was already discussed in the forum.
Please, search the forum for the answer.
I believe (but I am far from being sure) the cause was related to ‘k’, ‘M’, ‘G’ prefixes being derived from powers of ten or two, i.e. 1k = 10^3 = 1000 vs. 2^(10) = 1024.
