I have not been able to connect to my home (windows) network with AntiX. I’ve followed the video and other info but cannot make it work. MX connects fine and easily but you have to manually set it up with AntiX. Any help on how to do this would be appreciated. I do have wireless working so that’s not an issue. Thanks.

posting your connectshares.conf as well as the output of “findshares” would be useful to help you.

The step-by-step guide in the antiX FAQ will help you.

Below is my connectshares.conf. I was unable to copy and past the findshares. I looked at AntiX FAQ but did not find that helped me. Thanks.

In the REMOTE= line you need the hostname or the IP address of the server machine. the comma you have is not required.

you need to define the sharename you wish to connect to in either the SHAREGUEST (for no-password required shares) or in SHAREUSER (for password required shares). The SHARE should be followed by a comma.

for example, this is for my system at home. the server is MEDIAPC and the share is called MEDIA.

I didn’t notice you had NFS enabled. change the NFS=y to NFS= to disable it, as windows doesn’t use NFS.
