I have to unblock my wifi on a HP G62 laptop, might be worth trying, to see if you have the same problem.
        At the command line, enter
        sudo rfkill unblock all
        & then try connecting again.

        Linux (& BSD) since 1999

I experienced something similar once when I thought I had given my router’s password incorrectly but Connman thought all was well. Try to reset your password (if you are using a non-US keyboard, make sure you have changed it to your language in Control Center > System > Set System Keyboard Layout).

If no go, restart the networking service.
          sudo service networking restart

The MT7601U firmware and drivers are included in antiX 19, so it could be a Connman issue.

Let us know how it goes.

When I try to connect wifi I got this error:
            GDBus.Error:net.connman.Error.NoCarrier:NoCarrier
Edit:Please forget about this error.I rewrote the iso to usb.

I will try this on my D620 also. I think the problem might be the same.

The sudo rfkill unblock all was unsuccessful on mine as well.

It’s a new beta, so there are expected to be issues, shorter term, and longer term they will get fixed.

                    Atlanelan,

I found that if I installed to the hard drive, it worked after that. Not sure if that will help you at all…

When I try to connect wifi I got this error:
                        GDBus.Error:net.connman.Error.NoCarrier:NoCarrier

This sometimes happens when one has deleted the configuration for the access point.
For those that get the same error, in Connman Network Settings, hit the gear icon at the right of the network name. There, check that IPV4 settings are set to Automatic, and the same for IPV6. Also check that Proxy is set to Direct connection (Direct).
Save and that should solve the issue. (I know you solved it, Atlanelan, but I leave this answer here in case someone else experiences it in the future).

In antiX after entering wifi password connman shows as ‘ready’ but no ‘internet connection’ says firefox.

                        About the Network status:
“Ready” means that Connman connects to the Router.
“Online” means that you are connected to the internet.
So, if you are seeing “Ready”, then there must be a problem connecting to the net. I was hoping that restarting the network service would be enough to fix it.

Use the Network Assistant (Control Center > Maintenance > Network Assistant > Status) and see if you have an IP assigned to you.
Make sure you haven’t misconfigured the firewall.

if you don’t have an IP assigned, then you could try asking the router to assign one for you.
                        ifconfig
will tell you the “name” of your wireless device (for example, wlan0). Once you have it
                        dhclient wlan0
should give you an IP, and maybe this way the connection is “fixed”.

I am no expert, so I don’t know how to find the errors with Connman.
If I have time tonight, I will try creating a small tutorial for troubleshooting network problems. I would like it if someone can also give us some correct steps to gather more information so that problems can be fixed for real.

I found that if I installed to the hard drive, it worked after that. Not sure if that will help you at all…

Good to know it fixed itself. Hopefully we can figure out how to solve it in the live environment if it happens again in the future.

I like to use antiX on usb.I may wait for stable 19 build.Thankyou.

If we don’t know what the problem is, the problem cannot be solved. Reporting problems is the only way for them to be fixed. I only have 2 devices, so I am not able to reproduce this error.
I also love living with antiX live on USB, but I am not able to reproduce your exact problem. Let us hope this is only a onetime issue or someone figures out what is going on.

No problem at all, Atlanelan. I am very happy that you found the problem and solved it. It is great news for all.

Thank you very much for reporting back. It is one less bug.

                            Have a great day!
