I want my wired Ethernet connection to stay turned off. So I make sure it’s disconnected. (I tried offline mode=All devices off as well)But after a while I find it reconnected somehow. #RiseOfMachines

::One way to disable the wired connection would be to edit as root the etc/connman/main.conf
The list of blacklisted network interfaces should look like this (assuming your wired interface is eth0)
NetworkInterfaceBlacklist = eth0
Afterwards run
sudo service connman restartto make the changes take effect.
`
But if you like to use wired connection again, you have to change the main.conf again.February 4, 2020 at 12:05 pm #32432MemberDaveW
::It probably does not apply to your situation… but could the problem be caused by conflicting network manager programs?
I use Antix 17 (32 bit). For awhile, I had Network Manager and WICD installed. (I have never used Connman.) I thought Network Manager was handling everything. But, after I disconnected, it would regularly reconnect itself a short time later. The problem turned out to be conflict with WICD. The problem went away, after complete removal of NetWork Manager, to use WICD.

Seems like the case. Thanks. There is connman + ceni here. And I just removed ceni. So far so good. Hopefully.
