Hello, I’m using translator, I use an Acer aspire one d250, Intel Atom n270 and 1gb of ram memory, when starting antix it suspends every 30 seconds, But if I set acpi=off it doesn’t happen, but I lose “the drivers” because my screen becomes lower resolution and I don’t see the battery icon, please help me, I’m a noob :(.

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

Hi, please find some easy workarounds below:
W.1) Regarding the resolution, you may attempt to re-set it to more convenient using arandr:
Applications -> System -> Control Centre -> Session -> Set Screen Resolution

This applies to a single session.
Once you have found a reasonable value, a more permanent “fix” can be arranged by putting appropriate command into ‘~/.desktop-session/startup’.

            W.2) Battery:
You may add it into/un-comment in ‘~/.conkyrc’ if you display system information using ‘conky’ (“overlay” with text and plots typically located in top-right corner).

Regarding truly fixing it… it would be useful if you provide more information (antiX version, basic HW info).
            1) Output of: inxi -Fxzr
            2) How and who did perform the installation? Were there any additional non-standard packages installed, most notably alternate desktop environment (XFCE, KDE, …), or standard packages removed?
            3) Check screensaver and related setting, e.g.
Applications -> System -> Control Centre -> Session -> Set Screen Blanking
Applications -> Preferences -> Screen saver
            4) Power options/problems:
4.A) Does the suspension occur when plugged-in or only when using battery?
4.B) How old is your battery? Did it cause you any troubles in the past?

EDIT: Of course, my post is relevant only if the link provided by the mighty anticapitalista does not solve your problem.
