Dear Wallon,

Take advantage and complement the texts below that will be used in fr and fr_BE in the shortcut icons “.desktop” and in the menus. The text of Name [fr] = or Name [fr_BE] = that will be displayed in the menu according to the location of antiX (fr or fr_BE), the comment texts are found in the search for “App Select” or “Rofi” and GenericName = I still haven’t been able to understand its usefulness or importance in the shortcut icons.

As Brazil is huge, I try to chat whenever possible in WhatsApp and Telegram groups with various users of GNU / Linux distributions (MX Linux, Debian, antiX, Trisquel, etc.) about translations, they are people who are in various regions of the Brazil, so when one group of people know the terms in English and the other group of people know the same term in Portuguese, I try to resolve this situation by explaining the term in Portuguese and including the original English term somewhere in the program, the program title bar or the help text or shortcut icon comment.

Aproveita e complementa os textos abaixo que serão utilizados em fr e fr_BE nos ícones de atalho “.desktop” e nos menus. O texto de Name[fr]= ou Name[fr_BE]= que serão exibidos no menu conforme a localização do antiX (fr ou fr_BE), os textos do comentário são encontrados na busca do “App Select” ou do “Rofi” e GenericName= eu ainda não consegui entender qual é a sua utilidade ou importância nos ícones de atalho.

Como o Brasil é enorme, eu procuro conversar sempre que possível nos grupos de WhatsApp e Telegram com vários usuários de distribuições GNU/Linux (MX Linux, Debian, antiX, Trisquel, etc.) sobre traduções, são pessoas que estão em várias regiões do Brasil, assim quando um grupo de pessoas conhecem os termos em inglês e o outro grupo de pessoas conhecem o mesmo termo em português, eu tento resolver esta situação com a explicação do termo em português e a inclusão do termo original em inglês em alguma parte do programa, na barra de título do programa ou no texto de ajuda ou no comentário do ícone de atalho.

@Wallon: Simply post your translations to this for French and/or Belgian French language here, one of us others will bewitch gitlab to store them in the corresponding resource.

Every line from Marcelos above list where you see [fr] or [fr_BE] in front of the equal sign you need to fill in with a translation. That’s all.
In case [fr] and [fr_BE] are translated to identical strings you only need to fill in [fr]. And in case [fr] or [fr_BE] would be identical to original string you can omit the string in question completely.
I’ll add [ru] and [de] the same way.
