      After having removed from my system all apps the icons of which were in Control Centre under the tab “Shares” (Connectshares, Droopy etc), the icons that were under the tab “Session” came under the tab “Shares”, the icons that were under the tab “Disks” came under the tab “Session” etc.

        The problem still remains for antiX-19.b2_386-full, too. After Connectshares and Droopy having been removed from the system, the icons under the tab “Session” have come under the tab “Shares”, the icons under the tab “Disks” have come under the tab “Session” etc, and the last one tab (“Maintenance”) has disappeared. See for example the attachment.

          Reinstall one of the apps you removed to temporary fix the problem

          antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

            I prefer not having installed apps that I don’t use, but I reinstalled droopy as a test. I confirm that this restored the Control Centre GUI to its previous state. Thanks for the answer.

              Sorry, but I don’t like the temporary solution of not having the choice of removing all apps under a tab without remove simoultaneously the Control Centre. I prefer the previous state, that I could remove all apps under a tab without remove simoultaneously the Control Centre, even if this caused the problem related to the tabs I mentioned at my first post of this thread.

                So can you help us fix it then.
                Here is the project on gitlab – control-centre-antix

                  here’s a fix (applicable to both antiX 17 and 19):

                  sudo geany /usr/local/bin/antixcc.sh

                  scroll to line 67 or so and modify the vbox() function to the following, then save changes.
                  Relaunch antixcc.sh to verify that all of the predefined notebook tabs are now displayed, even if none of the items slated for a given tab is currently installed.

                  vbox() {
                      local text="$*"
                      local len=${#text}
                      #printf "vlen: %6s\n" "$len" >&2
                      if [ $len -lt 20 ]; then
                          echo '<vbox><hseparator></hseparator></vbox>'
                      else
                          echo "  <vbox>"
                          local item
                          for item; do
                              echo "$item"
                          done
                          echo "  </vbox>"
                      fi
                  }
