OS: AntiX 19.
It starts today, suddenly. When I drag the window, the coordinates appears at the bottom of the screen. How to disable that?- This topic was modified 6 months ago by Mad Daimond.

::Good question!
It must be a new feature of IceWM.
I don’t know the answer though.Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

No, these have been present in IceWM for me always, in antiX 19 using proprietary nvidia drivers and now in antiX 21/22 running on nouveau also (and I could bet I’ve seen them in antiX 17 already). I’m fine with this feature, it allows to resize a window to a specific width or height if needed. But I also don’t know how to deactivate it if somebody dislikes it.
Windows is like a submarine. Open a window and serious problems will start.

::If you want to deactivate it go to
control-centre > surface > icewm settings
Go to the tab preferences and look for# Show position status window during move/resize
ShowMoveSizeStatus=1 # 0/1and change it to
# Show position status window during move/resize ShowMoveSizeStatus=0 # 0/1Edit: Here on antiX21 it’s on line 92

::Yes, this was present in icewm on antiX 19. Its amazing how icewm allows customization of almost everything. I find it useful to know the coordinates of the window since they can be used with the geometry feature in winoptions to always launch an application in a window of that size.

::For others reading here,
xwininfo or xprop are also useful for setup of winoptions window settingsICEWM also shows position and size data when resizing or moving windows.
if showing data is left switched on that is. -
