create link for program on desktop

hey, seems a very simple thing to do but I dont manage, didnt find smth on that in the forum…

so i’d like to put some shortcuts to some programs on the desktop and mybe to some folders as well.

how?

It was opening a specific folder with the “icons” ‘/usr/share/applications/’ (not 100% sure it is this one) in a file manager and dragging the items (corresponding to applications) to the desktop.
Right-click on the icon can allow additional editing.

Minimize the windows that are necessary for you to view your desktop or desktop, use the file manager to access the /usr/share/applications or /usr/share/applications/antix folder, in these folders you will find several icons shortcuts (.desktop files) of programs installed in antiX. Left-click and hold the button on the shortcut icon of the desired program, then drag the icon towards the desktop and release the button. To rename the desktop icon, right-click on the desktop icon, left-click on the ‘Edit Item’ option, change the name as you like and delete the ‘.desktop’ extension ‘ which is not needed for the shortcut icon to work.

Minimize as janelas que forem necessárias para você visualizar a sua área de trabalho ou ambiente de trabalho, utilize o gerenciador de arquivos para acessar a pasta /usr/share/applications ou /usr/share/applications/antix, nestas pastas você encontrará vários ícones de atalho (arquivos .desktop) dos programas instalados no antiX. Clique com o botão esquerdo do rato e mantenha o botão pressionado sobre o ícone de atalho do programa pretendido, depois arraste o ícone em direção a área de trabalho e solte o botão. Para renomear o ícone da área de trabalho, clique com o botão direito do rato sobre o ícone da área de trabalho, clique com o botão esquerdo na opção ‘Editar o item’, altere o nome como você preferir e apague a extensão ‘.desktop’ que não é necessária para o ícone de atalho funcionar.
