This is not to report a new issue but rather refresh old thread ‘Live USB Maker – Error creating Live USB’…
It has been reported back in February that the new version of Live-USB-Maker (Version 0.46) was found defective v.s. previous version (0.45), which was working fine creating encrypted clone. The new version is failing when cloning encrypted Live-USB antiX.
Anti was kind to dig out the previous version from archives and point to such in the above thread. Thanks again anti!At this point I have two workarounds that are working for me:
1. Having removed the new 0.46 version of Live-USB-Maker a and replaced with the previous good 0.45 I need to keep remembering to check off updating Live-USB-Maker whenever any performing any antiX update.
2. Having forgotten to do the above and performed carefree (or rather careless) antiX update and therefore having lost the good 0.45 Live-USB-Maker a workaround discovered was to first create an unencrypted copy on another USB stick and after that from such unencrypted stick create an encrypted copy on the original stick. As Live-USB-Maker is one of the most valuable components and critical to antiX importance, and that current antiX 19.2 Hannie Schaft is so close to perfection, I am very curious if a resolution of this Live-USB-Maker defect is anywhere in sight…
With the understanding that Version 0.45 (previous version) of Live-USB-Maker works flawlessly and the new 0.46 version is defective on cloning encrypted sticks, the simplest solution would seem to be an ‘official’ re-instating of the working previous version, so the above workarounds would not be necessary to perform.
If falling back to previous version is not feasible, then when can we expect this defect to be eventually fixed?
One way or the other, thanks again anti for digging out that previous version of Live-USB-Maker from archives…

::I suppose in the worst case we could create a version 0.47 that is truly a remake of the working version 0.45.
Depending on what kind of package building techniques we are using, pulling 0.46 out would seem to be optimal, but failing that, checking out the old 0.45 code and checking it back in as an updated version might be an alternative work around for killing version 0.46.
Thoughts?

Personally I think it is a great idea with 0.4.7 version, reinstating 0.4.5.
I have tested that other associated components, such as GUI for LUM do not need to change from the current versions. Just LUM.
I have been living with workarounds for some time, but non-defective Live-USB-Maker would be nice asset to antiX 19.2 Hannie Schaft.

::Just wondering myself if encryption change, update maybe, is what broke this use-age for you.
Because it still works for me, but none of my use cases require encryption.
