This is an email from the Debian Team:
Dear all,
On Saturday 2021-07-17, bullseye will reach its fourth milestone: the
Full Freeze [1]. This means that from that moment on, every package
requires a manual unblock [2] by the release team if it needs to migrate
to bullseye. This milestone will not change anything for key packages or packages
without autopkgtests. However, from that moment on also for an updated
non-key package with passing autopkgtests an unblock needs to be requested,
unless the package migrates before that date. For all uploads, please review the Freeze Policy [1] once again to make
sure you know what is appropriate at this phase of the release.Paul

[2] please use $(reportbug release.debian.org) to get the tags and
template rightBrian’s comment: If the functional freeze actually takes place on July 17, we could conceivably see the Bullseye release this year, possibly even before the end of the Season. (We can HOPE so anyway!)

::Thanks for informing us, Brian. It is good to know that the release date is coming soon. Hopefully before the year end. I think the current antix-bullseye-21 is very stable (in amd64 at least), so if no major bugs are found we could consider a simultaneous release of antiX with the official Bullseye (or close enough).
Thanks again for keeping us up to date.

::31 July: ** tentative ** release date — I didn’t want to guess that it would be that soon, but I was HOPING.
You may recall that MANY months ago I thought that Debian was CLOSE to releasing another version.
Of course, that was WAY too optimistic, but Debian has repeatedly stated in their discussions that they wanted to improve the frequency of their releases.
They have, in fact, done so, at least in some ways. There have been AT LEAST NINE minor releases of Debian 10.
Now, if they are even CLOSE to meeting their release date goal, by August or September (if not sooner) we can do the same with our antiX Bullseye release.
Hoping for the best… in time and in final quality!--
