Hi. Every time I try to visit Athens Indymedia, this logo appears:
DEFLECT.CA DDoS protection for civil societyThis display refuses to go. It makes no difference if I use Pale Moon or SeaMonkey.

::Hi, I have no issue to access the web-page (I used Firefox, antiX-testing).
Did you try to: clear cache, temporarily disable add-ons, temporarily disable antiX-advert blocker, try user agent switcher, try VPN/Tor?I sometimes experience issues with a particular add-on I use on some of my antices (I hope I got the plural right but the ‘X’ is gone…) and automatic ray-protection whatever mechanisms that block/check access.

::This site seems to be a bit “hit or miss”- it works fine in FF-ESR in antiX 19 and Bromite browser in android, but fails to load in Firefox in android…

::Hi. Every time I try to visit Athens Indymedia,
Interesting site it seems… Although Greek language continues to present a significant challenge for me, so reading is slow, nevertheless helping in my learning progress…
Thanks for the link to this site…Live antiX Boot Options (Previously posted by Xecure):

Clearing cache & disabling antiX-advert blocker didn’t help. No add-ons are installed. I tried Palemoon with User Agent Status, but it doesn’t seem to help. I also tried to install tor-browser via packageinstaller, but it doesn’t seem to work.

::You could try the site with a different user agent. Some sites block certain browsers, or browsers that they consider “older”. I wrote a post with the steps for changing the user agent for a site with Pale Moon here – https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?p=234688#p234688

::Pale Moon or SeaMonkey.
Those 2 browsers are light and fast but suffer from incompatibility with some web pages- try installing the plug-in “polyfill” on them, it increases their compatibility with some pages. If it does not work, stick with FF-ESR for those pages.
You can download the latest version here: https://github.com/JustOff/github-wc-polyfill/releases/download/1.2.19/github-wc-polyfill-1.2.19.xpiDecember 25, 2022 at 6:03 am #96141Memberandfree
::Thanks for the replies.
You could try the site with a different user agent.
This didn’t help:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/108.0.0.0 Safari/537.36try installing the plug-in “polyfill”
GitHub/GitLab Web Components Polyfill could not be installed because it is not compatible with Pale Moon 3.4.2.December 27, 2022 at 6:15 am #96229Memberandfree

::Cause of the problem:
“BigInt” is not supported by Pale Moon.
(Neither by SeaMonkey, I suppose).

https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=70&p=235550#p235514That’s unfortunate, considering that NOT supporting BigInt GREATLY reduces the address space that the code can access and that’s certain to reduce the capability of the code, even if there are work arounds.
