Control Center/Preferred Applications/
sets
web-browser.desktop
to “firefox ESR”
I don’t want that! I want to change this default to another program
How do I get that done? TIA

Probably the fastest way is doing this:
Menu > Control Center > Preferred Applications > click the button to the right of “Web browser”
This opens a menu to select the .desktop file that has the information regarding the application you want. Say that you want, for example, to use Brave Browser- search for brave’s .desktop file (it should be in /usr/share/applications) and click it, then click the “open” button then the “ok” button on the “Preferred apps” main window and you’r set.
