New testing install of antix-17. When first booting, normal size fonts appear, then screen blanks/refreshes and then fonts about 3 times normal size appear while system boots. After I login and get to desktop, fonts are large. However, I have a good resolution setting. Is there a way to reduce size of fonts on the desktop and applications? Here is info on my system, which is installed on a Lenovo ideapad 320-15ast

::New installation of antiX-17, and immediate upgrade to testing with 4.20 kernel on Lenovo ideapad 320-15ast.
When booting starts, fonts are small and clear, but shortly after starting to boot, screen refreshes and fonts are about 3 times larger. This size continues through booting process. When I login and get to desktop, the fonts are about 2 times larger than on other distro desktops, and I have a nice resolution.

::Maybe worth a try to remove the vga=791 or whatever from the proc/cmdline , if it’s there.
sudo cat /proc/cmdlineYou can do this only for a trial, by hitting the e key on the bootscreen,
then search for the line starting with linux, remove the vga=???, afterwards press F10( maybe F11, cant remember) and boot for trial.Also there’s fontsize settings in control-centre.

::The lxappearance program enables you to change desktop fontface and font size.
gksu lxappearance ~~ launches the same program to select settings for sudo-permissioned application windows.lxappearance only affects the fonts seen within GTK application windows. To change the font size of text seen in desktop menu and toolbar, visit antiX ControlCenter –} Desktop tab –} “Edit ___WM Settings and edit the configuration file for whichever window manager you’re using.
~~~~~~~~~~~
To manage the fonts displayed within console (TTY), antiX provides 2 programs:
console-width-select
console-font-selectTo adjust the “too-large font displayed during boot”, try adding conwidth=120 to your bootline.
(The value specifies “columns”. If @120 the text isn’t small enough to suit, try 140 as the value.)January 14, 2019 at 9:42 pm #16122Memberbsd4me
