      Hello,

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktHQISNl9Ic

Very bad news for people who want to install a Linux distribution.
You will have to buy a PC for Linux and a PC for Windows. I don’t have the space to put two PCs with two screens on each PC.
What do you think about this protection for Windows?

      Best regards,
      Wallon

I haven’t installed Windows on a PC in a very long time, so I won’t be buying any computers for Windows.

What I will be doing from now on is only buying corebooted or librebooted GNU/Linux computers. They are affordable now – you can get a new corebooted laptop from System 76 for just a few more dollars than the same specs of a Windows laptop. For the extra few dollars, it’s well worth it to not have hardware that is designed for Microsoft users.

Unless someone is shopping for one of those 2 [[[2 so far]]] special issue ThinkPads models….. this topic is a nothingburger.

At CES 2022 earlier this year, AMD announced that its Ryzen 6000 Rembrandt CPUs were the first in the industry to pack Microsoft Pluton support. Alongside that, Lenovo also announced its new ThinkPad Z13 and Z16 notebooks to feature Pluton support. These new ThinkPads would be powered by a special Ryzen™ 7 PRO 6860Z CPU…..
