      Good Day Folks,

I am trying to disable my laptop’s touchpad while typing. The mouse/touchpad configuration provided by the Antix Control Center does not have this option? I wouldn’t mind manually editing a config, but I don’t know where the config is stored via the GUI?

      I found these links online?

        Hi,

the Unix Stack-Exchange link contains an example command.
Did you try to run it successfully?
If it works for you, then you can simply add it into your ‘~/.desktop-session/startup’ file which is automatically executed when you log in.

It (i.e. ‘syndaemon’) is present in my antiX at desktop PC which makes testing it futile.
        ‘which syndaemon’ outputs ‘/usr/bin/syndaemon’.
‘apt-file search syndaemon’ confirms that it comes with ‘xserver-xorg-input-synaptics’.

          Hi Sybok,

OK great, I added the following to my desktop-session.conf file

          syndaemon -i 3 -t -d

Looks like it is working. Will use it and report back.

          This topic is solved
