There is something about the new kernel upgrade that breaks the live system. I suspect the old kernel gets purged which removes all of its modules so your system gets crippled. Even if that is not the cause, something is causing a serious problem.

I changed the title since it only effects MX Linux and not antiX (unless users have installed the latest MX kernel version – 4.19.37-2~mx17+2)
Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.
