For information to translators, a developer has put a new file at Transifex.
It’s called “ds-mouse.pot” (project Anticapitalista-antix)
Best regards,

::Many thanks, Wallon for the announcement. There should also exist some new strings in the other resource ds-mouse.po (or come up soon), since I have filed a merge request for both on gitlab, containing some additional strings from these scripts this morning.
anticapitalista, you have been really fast with putting all this up on transifex, many thanks!- This reply was modified 1 year, 7 months ago by Robin.

Yes, these are two scripts working together. I should probably have added a hint in developers notes within the pot file that these in ds-mouse.pot are meant to be displayed on command line. So remember to add line breaks (\n)when needed.

::out-of-range value for acceleration or threshold, so applying xset default values
The line number one sentence in English is 81 characters long, the pt-BR translation is 88 characters long.
Should I add a line break or will the text automatically fit into the available space?A frase da linha número um em Inglês, possui 81 caracteres, a tradução para pt-BR possui 88 caracteres.
Será que é bom eu adicionar uma quebra de linha ou o texto se ajustará automaticamente no espaço disponível?September 18, 2021 at 2:51 pm #67455Member

This will breake automatically, but you can set as well some line breaks as you like.
left and right hand / left or right hand
This is meant to set up mouse either for left handed or for right handed mouse button order. So simply find an adequate expression in Brasilian Portuguese, it doesn’t count whether »or« or »and« is used here.

::Dear Robin,
Thank you for the explanation regarding the automatic line break.
I also noticed an update of the file “ds-mouse.po” but everything was already translated.Dear Marcelocripe,
It’s always a pleasure for me to share information with the translator community.
Kind regards,

::Dear Wallon,
regarding the automatic line break
The advantage of using additional manual line breaks (»\n«) over automatic line breaks in this place is: you can control where the break should happen. Worst case on automatic line break is that it happens right in the middle of a word, disregarding any syllables and breaking rules of your language. The bash console window doesn’t care for this detail and when end of line is reached it will break to a new line simply, without mercy, even for a single last character…
I also noticed an update of the file “ds-mouse.po” but everything was already translated.
in this case you should check the following strings
# 1 “Error” # 2 “Success” # 18 “Right hand layout” # 19 “Left hand layout”which were obviously filled in by automatic translation and might suffer from some stiffness or lack of eloquency. You may translate free also, e.g. instead of the harsh “success” you could use something like e.g. »Les ajustements ont été faits«. I’ve checked some words more in this string will work properly in the message box also.
Btw, there are the developer notes visible now, which I had added to the .pot file so translators of new languages will have an easier start than us.
Kind regards
