Can you edit the Exit Session window (where you can turn off/reboot/lock the screen and etc.) somehow? I want to add the two custom buttons to this menu.November 11, 2022 at 9:04 pm #93019Forum Admin

::I think you are are looking exitantix.sh file.
locate exitantix.shI am on my MX linux box right now but my best guess is it is in /usr/local/bin.
I could be wrong though.
Always make a backup of original before editing. In case your edit breaks things. That way. I usually rename stuff to er
exitantix.sh.bk`
orexitantix.sh.oldfor my backup names.Sometimes I drive a crooked road to get my mind straight.

::I would look in ~/.icewm/preferences to see what program runs when you click the Logout menu button. My guess is that could be overridden with an entry in prefoverride.
On my installed antiX 21 system it says
# Command to start logout LogoutCommand="desktop-session-exit"Maybe its different on yours?
On mine desktop-session-exit is a script program in /usr/local/bin. You could copy the program that currently runs, change the copy, and point your IceWM to use your version of it instead.

::If desktop-session-exit is run without any flags it defaults to
/usr/local/lib/desktop-session/desktop-session-exit.py
which in turn uses desktop-session-exit with flags for the buttons.
ie desktop-session-exit -r for restart.
I’ve dabbled a bit with this. For instance, I use desktop-session-exit -R (thats a capital R) at the end of a script that switches to HDMI output when I connect a laptop to a tv. This restarts the session so that the desktop wallpaper, conky, etc all get reset to the new proper size.
Anyways, if you want to edit or add buttons to the exit gui then modify the python script.
