Hi, I just installed antix 17.1 full x64.
I receive this error when I first open wicd:

The wicd D-bus interface can not be connected. Check the wicd log for any error messages.

Press OK and open another window:

Error connecting to wicd service via D-Bus. Please ensure the wicd service is running.

Then it opens and works normally.

      (sorry for imperfect english)

      Thanks.

It’s actually not solved at all, it’s just “workarounded” or “disguised” or however you want but, it’s still there.
You just don’t see it anymore since you are auto-starting Wicd. Disable auto-start and the error is back.

Interesting thing about it is, it will appear only when the Wicd is the very first program started in a session, which needs root privileges.

With other words: If you open a Terminal and make sudo apt-get update, OS will ask you for the password. If you start Wicd afterwards, no error will show up.
If Wicd was the very first thing you started, then the error will show up again.
