failed to execute login command

      If try to login all I get is (failed to execute login command) WHY.

        WHY.

        .

        You might browse the contents of /var/log/* to find additional details.
        You might run “sudo grep -e ‘^login_cmd’ /etc/slim.conf” and post to share the output of that command.
        You might have opted to use lightdm rather than slim, and expect us to guess that detail
        as well as any other details explaining what you had done//installed//removed//tweaked prior to the problem occurring…

          That was an bad post be me. Should have known better than that.

          Late last night their were updates which I install never reboot until this morning (failed to execute login command) reminds me of the trouble you can have with a sid install, and slim not letting you login.

          Installed lightdm same (failed to execute login command).

          But I don’t time now have to go away for a few day will take the laptop with me and have a look tonight.
