Hey guys, I installed AntiX on a Dell Venue 8 Pro. Everything but the Bluetooth and the battery life percentage works.

What’s the best way to search for drivers?
Is there a .deb file for a battery/charging percentage package that people use for laptops or tablets?

      Thanks!

I know there is a linux compatible driver, because I originally tried live booting Ubuntu but it was horribly slow in comparison to the insanely fast AntiX on this little guy. How do y’all solve missing driver issues?

Which desktop are you using? If it is the default rox-icewm, in the
menu > settings > preferences > TaskBar > TaskBarShowApmAuto should be selected
After you have done this setting you have to go again to
          menu > settings > preferences
and click on the “Save changes” button, also you have to restart icewm to let the changes take effect.

          For bluetooth did you try
menu > applications > settings > bluetooth manager

If you want to use bluetooth for audio you have to install pulseaudio
Best to do this with the package installer from control-centre

If your bluetooth device is not recognized at all you should give us more information about your hardware.
Post the output from terminal of
          inxi -zv8

Edit: There’s also the possibility to let the conky show the battery status.
          control-centre > Surface > System Monitor (conky)
Scroll down to the the last two lines. They are responsible for battery status.
Remove the # in front of one of the two lines and save the file when closing.
You have to test which one of the two works for you or you prefer.

The Bluetooth manager acts like it’s going to open, but nothing happens. Here is the info from the inxi dump
