The “major feature” we have all been waiting for in Firefox 75.0 is a revamped address bar that “helps users “search smarter and faster”
I find it has more nuisance value than anything else.It also allows your mom partner, Teacher or boss to see where you have been searching in the blink of an eye.
After trying it this crap has to go. In about:config change following.user_pref(‘browser.urlbar.openViewOnFocus’, false);
user_pref(‘browser.urlbar.update1’, false);
user_pref(‘browser.urlbar.update1.interventions’, false);
user_pref(‘browser.urlbar.update1.searchTips’, false);If Moz would only make a browser without all the Telemetry, hidden extensions in browser features folder, and stop remotely changing user settings
they might get more users. The remote settings feature turns the Browser into a bot.April 10, 2020 at 2:37 am #34546Member

::Have any of you tried out the Brave Web Browser?
I use it a lot on my phone and I use it on my computer systems too, though I also test the Firefox builds on the computer.
Brave is arguably the fastest browser around that’s available on multiple platforms.
DuckDuckGo, a search engine that is also available as a browser, is generally good about getting rid of the breadcrumbs and also runs well.
Any thoughts about either of them?

I used it on my laptop. It seems pretty good to me, but I’ve stuck with Firefox all these years now. LOL

I still have at least three (sometimes four) Firefox images on my system
Firefox-esr
Firefox (current release)
Firefox Beta
Firefox NightlyI keep them in separate directories.
I’ve reported two or three defects over the years but my use cases these days are not very challenging, so I don’t find many defects these days.--
