For those wanting to install and update Fox from Mozilla site
below script may be useful.

Will try and figure out how to add my shamefuly amateuer and half baked, part working
FF Cleaner script to get rid of unwanted hidden extensions, disable pinging etc and update
arkenfox userjs Before first start sends Telemetry data and fingerprint to Google Mozilla.

Take a read at GHacks Blog for more info on where data goes, much is encrypted, guess why.

thank you for the info.
I tried it and it’s fine after downloaded Firefox_Stable32.sh and error.sh.
At this time, I use the latest Firefox (v106.0.5).

A little tip to obtain Firefox in your language directly :
in Firefox_Stable…sh, or other, replace line 15 :

wget -L -O “FirefoxStable32.tar.bz2” “https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-latest-ssl&os=linux” >/dev/null || curl -L -o “FirefoxStable32.tar.bz2” “https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-latest-ssl&os=linux” || /.error.sh ;

with (by example, for french language) :

wget -L -O “FirefoxStable32.tar.bz2” “https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-latest-ssl&os=linux&lang=fr” >/dev/null || curl -L -o “FirefoxStable32.tar.bz2” “https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-latest-ssl&os=linux&lang=fr” || /.error.sh ;

And, it could be necessary to adapt this line, in Firefox_Stable…sh (or other) :

sudo find /home/*/Desktop -maxdepth 1 -type d -exec cp Mozilla_Firefox_32bit.desktop ‘{}’ \; -exec chown –reference='{}’

with :

sudo find /home/[username | demo]/[Desktop | Bureau | …] -maxdepth 1 -type d -exec cp Mozilla_Firefox_32bit.desktop ‘{}’ \; -exec chown –reference='{}’

Somebody thinks it’s a spelling mistake and replaces Groland by Groenland (Greenland in Shakespeare’s language).

Meanings often get lost in translation. You are a valuable forum member.

To clarify: With all due respect, moddit post meant he knows something about French TV.
Présipauté du Groland. And Carte du Groland = map of groland.

Not a spelling mistake greeenland or a tiny swedish village.
