I keep getting notices that my brand new Firefox is out of date. I thought that when I did an apt-get update && apt-get upgrade that my Firefox would automagicallly upgrade as well. Apparently not! I downloaded from the Firefox page, I clicked on extract, and nothing has happened. The download (unextracted one) is in the downloads file, if that helps, but I can’t find anything that indicates where the extracted one is. Any help would be appreciated.
      TIA, mizpa

Use the packageinstaller app in the menu or control centre to install latest firefox

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

I’ll give it a spin, Thanks, mizpa

UPPDATE: well, that went well, now after installing, the ‘package installer’ and the ‘done’ dialog box are froze up! So I guess the only cure is to reboot so I can install something else – to disable the touchpad. (a different thread)

I think that package manager need a tune-up or something. It doesn’t seem to want to work at times – just FYI.
