::No, it just give me the option to turn on, but when I close it, it turns back off. It also blocks everything so I can’t use the browser/updates at all.

::You are right, problem is the 4.9.146-antix.1-kernel.There’s already a newer one available.
Could you open controlcenter -> system -> packageinstallationUnder Kernel you find the antiX Kernel (4.9.152)
If you install it , afterwards reboot, the errors with ufw will go away.I couldn’t see it, because I have already a newer kernel installed.

::Old announcement
https://antixlinux.com/4-9-148-kernel-upgrade/
Users are advised to upgrade to the latest 4.9.148 kernel since it adds more protection from spectre/meltdown and the 64 bit version fixes a regression when using (g)ufw firewall.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

::Quick Note; I ended up switching to the 32bit but still had the problem at hand.
I updated to the latest for kernel which says was 4.19.10 but I still can’t seem to get the firewall to stay active. Do I have to leave the program open?January 30, 2019 at 7:01 am #18186Moderator

::4.19.10 is working nicely with ufw here, 64bit, though.
What does sudo ufw status say after you close the program ?
Also sudo ufw enable ?January 30, 2019 at 7:27 am #18188Forum Admin

::Are you running antiX ‘live’ or installed?

::You have to turn it on.
Some help here: Gufw
BTW 4.19.10 is not the latest kernel in the repos.

::The gui of ufw firewall is a little irritating,it looks maybe like it is not active, but it is.
If you click on unlock it’s on, or not ?For the kernels, did you already
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgradefor to make the system current?
Maybe then also the newest kernels will be shown in packageinstaller.- This reply was modified 4 years, 3 months ago by caprea.

::Yes I click unlock and it turns on, but then if I exit out and go back in I have to click unlock again.
