Forum for users of antiX Linux. Mean and Lean and Proudly anti-fascist.
Forum › Forums › General › Tips and Tricks › Fixed: "~/.fluxbox/startup" file is not executed
On AntiX 19 “core” –
The file
/usr/share/xsessions/fluxbox.desktop
has
Exec=fluxbox
But it should have
Exec=startfluxbox
so that the file
$HOME/.fluxbox/startup
will be run when you start a session.
Did you install desktop-default-fluxbox-antix package?
You don’t need it for core.
If you just install fluxbox to core, you get Exec=startfluxbox.
desktop-default-fluxbox-antix package is used on base and full alongside desktop-sesion-antix (a sort of desktop-session manager).
Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.
