      Hiyall,
      I have antiX-386-base installed on an Asus netbook 2011. It’s early days however so far, it works well.
      THE most important app that I need is the audio player: Foobar 2000. Does anyone know whether it can be installed on my system?

      Live-USB = zzz-IceWM-antiX21-runit-64-base: static persistence
      VirtualBox= zzz-IceWM-antiX21-runit-64-base

          I don’t know this thing. Looks to me there is no debian package existing you could easily install using e.g. apt, and it’s not a native linux programme. So you can try to run it in wine, even when this method tends to be a bit resource intensive sometimes and doesn’t work for every programme. But maybe reading of this thread on the hydrogenaudio board may help you to figure what path you have to follow in order to make it work.

          And maybe you’ll get happy with one of the native linux programmes which are capable to offer exactly the same functionallity. See in this thread for picking one: Metabrainz Community — Looking for a foobar 2000 equivalent on linux

          Please let us know what has worked for you in the end. And maybe some other user is able to provide some more pieces of information which is best choice or best approach.

          Windows is like a submarine. Open a window and serious problems will start.

            DeaDBeeF is generally considered a pretty good replacement.
