Formatting Question

      Hi. Maybe a noob question sorry, I just installed this OS from USB and basically just clicked “next” whenever possible. I wanted to wipe my computer of the previous OS, is there a way I can confirm all previous data has been formatted just to be sure? Thank you.

        Normally, formatting just marks the area to be ready for (re)use.

        If you need to be sure previous data is unreadable, you need to use a program like shred
