Hi all. New Antix user here, after 10 years with in canine company (Puppy), dabbling with Debian and Red Hat in the early 2000s, AT&T Sys V and SCO Xenix SA in the 1980s. Drawn to Antix for its light weight and systemd avoidance. Init forever.
Have a couple of problems will search on and post about if need be later.
Just now I registered, logged in with Firefox, and logged in separately a second time with Seamonkey. On the Seamonkey login I was ushered right into your WordPress Admin page! ( https://www.antixforum.com/wp-admin/ ) Uh, I don’t think that was supposed to happen. I’m not a WordPress expert and I have no clue how it did.
I’m posting this from Firefox and currently leaving the Seamonkey page open in case someone wants me to check something there. I’m not going to try to do anything clever or nefarious with it, not that kind of guy, just thought you should know that that’s what happened.

everoften. How do puppians cope with having busybox only?
Each time I visit puppyland, I immediately feel hamstrung due to the absence of “locate” (mlocate, slocate) and several other generic linux commands. I did manage to find an installable slocate for Slacko, but wow what a chore it was to track it down.May 27, 2021 at 4:03 pm #60301Memberahoppin

Ah, right, thanks. Sorry for my confusion. At first glance, it looked a lot like a WordPress admin page.

Many of the missing bits are in the devx module. Not locate, but find is in the base distro, and it works as you’d expect.
I’m mostly fine with busybox. I also don’t object to being root all the time. But Puppy’s a live distro at heart. If you don’t love frugal installation, you’ll be lonely in the kennels. They’ve always discouraged full installation, and in the latest version (Fossa), they’ve actually hidden it.
